Q: What should I wear for a session?
A: Wear something that feels comfortable and non-restrictive. Whether we’re working with movement, tremor release, or deep emotional processing, you’ll want to be able to sit, lie down, and shift with ease. Think: soft yoga pants, a breathable top, layers you can remove if you warm up. No need to dress up—this is about feeling safe in your body, not performing for anyone. Just come as you are, and we’ll meet your body with respect and care.
Q: Are sessions in person or virtual?
A: Both options are available! I offer in-person sessions for those who prefer hands-on support or a grounded space to practice, as well as virtual sessions for ease, flexibility, and comfort from your own home. Whether we’re working with movement, energy, or the nervous system, both formats are effective—what matters most is what feels right for you. If you’re unsure, we can talk through which setting would best support your needs.
Q: I’m not sure what therapeutic option would be the best for me.
A: You don’t have to know that before we begin. I customize every session based on your unique needs, goals, and comfort level. We may focus on one modality—like Yoga Therapy, TRE, or QEC—or weave elements of all three together. Your body and story are the guides, and I’m here to support what unfolds.
If you’re unsure where to start, you’re welcome to book a free 15-minute consultation (by phone or virtual) so we can talk it through together. You don’t have to figure it out alone—we’ll create your path, step by step.
Q: How long do I have access to the recording of an online class?
A: You’ll have access to the class recording for 30 days after the session. That gives you plenty of time to revisit, reflect, and return to the practice on your own schedule. If you ever need help accessing your link, just reach out.
Q: What happens if I need to cancel my appointment or class sign-up?
A: I understand that things come up—life is beautifully unpredictable. If you need to cancel your appointment (Yoga Therapy, TRE, or QEC session) or class sign-up, just reach out to me directly at lil.harris.yoga@gmail.com or text 804-304-0666.
For individual sessions, I ask for at least 24 hours notice so I can offer that time to someone else in need. If cancellation happens with less than 24 hours’ notice, the session unfortunately can’t be rescheduled or refunded. I deeply appreciate your understanding—it helps keep the flow of care and respect moving for everyone I serve.
Q: How is Yoga Therapy different from a regular yoga class?
A: Yoga Therapy is personalized. While a regular class offers general movement and breath for the group, yoga therapy meets you where you are—physically, emotionally, and energetically. It supports healing, nervous system balance, and long-term function, often blending posture, breath, meditation, and lifestyle support in a deeply tailored way.
Q: Do I need to be flexible or experienced to benefit?
A: Not at all. Yoga Therapy is for every body, regardless of experience or mobility. In fact, it's often most powerful for people dealing with injury, chronic pain, fatigue, or emotional stress.
Q: What kinds of issues does Yoga Therapy support?
A: Everything from low back pain and joint tension to anxiety, menopause transitions, trauma recovery, and sleep issues. We’ll co-create a path that honors your body’s truth.
Q: How long are sessions and how often should I come?
A: Sessions are 30 or 60 minutes. Frequency depends on your goals—some clients come weekly, others biweekly or monthly. We'll find a rhythm that supports sustainable healing.
Q: What is Ayurveda?
A: Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old holistic wellness system from India that emphasizes living in harmony with nature's rhythms. It offers practical guidance for nutrition, daily routines, movement, sleep, stress management, and self-care to support overall well-being.
Q: What is a Holistic Ayurvedic Coach?
A: As a Holistic Ayurvedic Coach, I help clients understand and apply Ayurvedic principles in their everyday lives. This includes education around constitution (dosha), nutrition, daily routines, seasonal living, and mind-body-spirit wellness.
Q: What happens during the initial session?
A: We'll discuss your health history, lifestyle patterns, sleep, digestion, stress levels, movement habits, and wellness goals. Together we'll identify your Ayurvedic tendencies and create personalized recommendations that you can begin implementing immediately
Q: Will you determine my dosha?
A: Yes. We'll explore your unique constitution and discuss how your doshic tendencies may influence your energy levels, digestion, sleep patterns, stress responses, and lifestyle needs.
Q: Will I receive dietary recommendations?
A: Yes. You'll receive education and guidance regarding Ayurvedic nutrition, including food qualities, the six tastes, meal timing, digestive health, and seasonal eating practices that support balance.
Q: Can Ayurveda help with stress?
A: Ayurveda emphasizes daily rhythms, restorative practices, mindful living, breathwork, movement, and self-care. Many clients find these practices support greater resilience, balance, and overall well-being.
A: Many clients begin with an initial consultation and then schedule follow-up sessions every 2–4 weeks to refine routines, build sustainable habits, and deepen their understanding of Ayurvedic living.
Q: How is Ayurvedic Lifestyle & Wellness Coaching different from Yoga Therapy, TRE® and QEC?
A: Ayurvedic Lifestyle Coaching focuses primarily on daily habits, nutrition, routines, seasonal living, and self-care practices that support overall balance and vitality.
Yoga Therapy uses movement, breathwork, mindfulness, and yogic practices to address specific health and wellness goals. TRE® focuses on releasing stress and tension patterns held within the body and nervous system. QEC explores mindset, beliefs, and personal transformation.
These approaches work beautifully together, creating a comprehensive framework for whole-person wellness.
Q: Will you give me a meal plan?
A: I provide education and guidance based on Ayurvedic principles, including food qualities, meal timing, digestion, seasonal eating, and the six tastes. Together, we'll explore practical ways to nourish your body and support your wellness goals.
I do not provide medical nutrition therapy, prescribe therapeutic diets, or create meal plans intended to treat medical conditions.
Q: How is Ayurvedic Lifestyle & Wellness Coaching different from working with a registered dietician?
A: Ayurvedic Lifestyle Coaching focuses on holistic wellness, including daily routines, stress management, sleep, movement, self-care, seasonal living, and nutrition from an Ayurvedic perspective.
Registered Dietitians are licensed healthcare professionals who can provide medical nutrition therapy and dietary treatment for specific medical conditions. If you have a diagnosed health condition requiring specialized nutrition care, I encourage you to work with a Registered Dietitian and your healthcare team.
Q: Do you prescribe herbs or supplements?
A: I may provide general education about traditional Ayurvedic wellness practices. However, I do not prescribe medications, diagnose conditions, or recommend supplements as treatment for medical concerns. Any decisions regarding herbs, supplements, or medications should be discussed with your healthcare provider.
Q: What exactly is TRE?
A: TRE is a body-based method that helps release deep muscular tension and stored trauma through a natural, involuntary shaking process. It’s simple, profound, and activates your body’s own healing wisdom.
Q: Is it therapy? Will I have to talk about trauma?
A: No. TRE is not talk therapy—it works through the body. While you’re welcome to share anything that arises, there’s no pressure to discuss your history. This is a safe, self-regulating process.
Q: What does a session look like?
A: We begin with grounding and safety, then guide you through a series of gentle exercises that help activate the tremor reflex. You’ll then lie down and allow your body to release. We close with deep rest and integration.
Q: Is it safe for everyone?
A: TRE is generally safe, but there are some contraindications (e.g., recent surgeries, pregnancy, unmanaged psychiatric conditions). I’ll guide you through a screening and modify as needed.
Q: What will I feel afterward?
A: Most people feel calmer, lighter, and more connected to their bodies. Some experience emotional releases, while others simply feel deeply relaxed. Integration is key—and I’ll support you in that.
Q: What is QEC and how does it work?
A: QEC is a gentle yet powerful way to shift subconscious beliefs that hold us back—often from early experiences or inherited family patterns. Using a blend of neuroscience, coaching, and intention, we work in a relaxed brainwave state to rewire how your system perceives and responds to life.
Q: What kinds of issues can QEC help with?
A: Anxiety, self-worth, fear, chronic stress, body image, limiting beliefs, ancestral wounds—anything where you feel stuck or held back. QEC gets to the root, not just the symptoms.
Q: Will I be hypnotized or lose control?
A: Not at all. You’re conscious, relaxed, and fully in charge the entire time. It’s a co-created process, grounded in consent and connection.
Q: How many sessions do I need?
A: That depends on your goals. Some clients feel massive shifts in 1–3 sessions; others benefit from a series over time. We’ll pace it based on what feels right to you.
Q: Can I combine QEC with Yoga Therapy or TRE?
A: Absolutely—and that’s where it gets magical. These methods weave beautifully together, supporting both body and belief in a holistic, embodied way.
